How
does this partner program differ from the old one?
From
day one there has always been a team of people dedicated to forging
and handling Alliance opportunities within rL Solutions. During the
early days, these opportunities were handled by the rL Solutions
Executive team. However, as we grew, there was a definite need for a
more formalized team to handle the business and technology based
alliances that surfaced during the year. An Alliances Team was
created, lead by Colin Hung (VP of Alliances & Marketing), whose
sole purpose is to investigate and forge both Business and Technology
based Alliances.
The
goal of the rL Solutions Alliance team is simply to make our clients
more successful. In many cases, where it makes sense, we will build
components and services into our product offerings to fit a client
need. For example, the newly released Object Import/Export engine
was a component that was requested by a large number of clients to
help import and export both data and objects into our RMPro and FMPro
products. In evaluating the requirements we determined it made more
sense to develop this component internally to offer to our clients .
However in some cases it makes more sense to work with third party
organizations to provide these service and product offerings. An
example of this would be our partnership with iNTERFACEWARE, the
company that provides the HL7 interfaces for our Infection
Surveillance and Control product (IMPro). Although we could have
built our own HL7 devices, it made more sense to partner with an
industry leader who already had best of breed solutions developed for
this exact purpose.
