Infection MonitorPro launched at APIC Conference |
SAN JOSE, June 25, 2007- rL Solutions, the leading provider of
healthcare quality and safety software, today launched its latest
product, Infection MonitorPro (IMPro), at the Association for
Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC) conference
in San Jose, California.
IMPro is a powerful application that is designed to help Infection Control Practioners (ICPs) in their fight against hospital and community acquired infections. With IMPro, ICPs spend less time on administrative tasks and more time on infection prevention and containment. It significantly reduces the ICP’s workload, by automating the detection of infections, providing easy follow-up management, eliminating data re-entry and offering dynamic reports with drill-down analysis.

According to the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC), hospital acquired infections (HAIs) continue to affect more than 2 million patients annually in the United States at a cost of more than $5.5 billion. At today’s conference, Mr. Cheney gave an example of how one hospital successfully isolated and combated a Vancomycin Resistant Organism (VRE) within a few hours… “a result that would have taken two weeks under the prior manual methods” added Cheney.
